Dr Georg Schaeffler co-founded Schaeffler in 1946 with his brother Wilhelm, and by 1949 had broken through the mental framework. At that time, his research and development of needle roller and coupler components led to a breakthrough in the use of needle roller bearings in the industrial field, filling the gap in this field.
